The Saturday Seven is back. I had totally forgetten about it until a few minutes ago when I was looking at the blog.
This week's list of seven is pretty random, just some musings from the jumble in my head. I know this may sound cliched, but wow! where did June, July and August go? August was such a busy month here...how can it be over already? How is it already fall and college football season? My birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. At the end of December, Stacy will have been part of our family for 2 years!!! And, he turned 5 at the beginning of August and within 7 days of his birthday he lost a tooth.
The Saturday Sven, in no particular order:
1) College football is here: heard it summed up the best this morning by Mark Packard on 620 The Buzz this morning "...by the middle of October the season is half-way over and we're left wanting more." So true! I really not think of another sport that only has 10-12 games in a season. The Southern Fried Football tour will be in Raleigh the weekend of October 2 for the Boston College - NC State game.
2) Hurricane Season - the weather one. I love weather. I love following the storms; looking at the satellite and radar images. I am a weather nerd. However, I am still waiting for Jim Cantore's camera man to tie him to a tree or light pole and leave him out in the storm. A little over-the-top. Mr Cantore.
3)The freedom I have to write whatever I want on my blog. The freedom to walk with Christ every day.
4)Our sweet "outside" calico cat, who adopted us back in the spring, Miss Kitty. Very original name, though it does suit her. The boys seem to like her and do not act weird when they see her through the doors or windows.
5)Friends :) :) :)
6)A new mattress and box spring! Thanks Mom!! Can't wait until Thursday <3
7)Sleeping in this weekend. Ready to rest and relax.
Not much rhyme or reason to the list...just seven random things swirling around in my head.
Good night y'all!
Meg
