"S" has now lived with us for 35 days...there are times it seems longer and times it seems shorter.
Here are some thoughts, lessons and observations from the last 35 days:
1) I have now successfully: brushed someone else's teeth, cut toenails and wiped a little hiney.
2) Watched the joy of playing in the first snow for "S".
3) Andy & I have gone many places alone separately, but have only been out ONCE together without "S" in the last 35 days.
4) Am thankful for the FunZone at Hope Community Church.
5) Am thankful for preschool.
6) Feel like I wash towels way more than I used to.
7) Watched Andy play robots and whatever else "S" asks him to play - even when he doesn't feel like it.
8) Have held "S" as he received 3 vaccinations & 1 Flu-Mist spray.
9) Been reassured by Andy that we were justified in taking "S" to the ER last night because he was complaining his chest hurt.
10) Taken him for his "first" haircut with us but not the first ever.
11) Gotten to watch a young mind at work...and does it ever work!!
12) Wonder why "S" talks about Poppa Kev at the most random times.
13) There are times I miss just being Andy's wife...but it only last for a few minutes.
14) Love when I pick "S" up from preschool & his face lights up when he sees me!!!
15) The giggles - where do they come from?
16) Love watching Andy with "S" - the pure love & contentment that radiates from my hubby is awesome.
17) Love nap time :)
18) Love the smell of a freshly bathed little boy.
19) Finally appreciate the phrase "could eat him with a spoon".
20) Fully appreciate Mike Lee's sermon the VERY first time we attended Hope back in 2004, in the gym at Grace Christian school. Mike's sermon that day was about the marriage relationship being of the UTMOST importance - your relationship with your spouse has greater weight than your children (probably did not explain that very good, but boy has that message stuck with us).
21) Think "S" has the best social worker in North Carolina!! We love her!!
22) Thought I was going to make it to 35 list items...but I am running out!

What a sweet list so far! Isn't "mommyhood" wonderful!? Days full of laughs, joys, sighs, and tears- it's an emotional rollercoaster that most women wouldn't trade for the world!
