Andy's Socks

Tomorrow afternoon is my first college class in 8 years. I am looking forward to it and applying to be accepted for the spring semester to pursue my teaching license. Still bummed that I am not taking Intro to Weather & Climate...especially after my JumpBunch co-worker told me today how GREAT it was...but I am looking forward to Kingdom of Fungi (I love mushrooms).

Andy started his new job today. He said all went well today - he's going to spend the evening reading some sales books and taking several sprinkler heads apart & back together. Tomorrow he will be riding shot-gun with Todd (the STI sales rep for the west half of the state), learning the ropes so to speak.

Something funny that did happen to Andy today: he is picky about his socks. He really likes the no-show ankle athletic socks. He has a new pair of loafers & a pair of boat shoes he hates to wear with socks (but will b/c if he doesn't his feet get quite stinky). So, after a lot of searching for peds (women, you all know what I am talking about) for men, we finally found some at a men's shop at Crabtree this weekend. Andy took his loafers to wear today, with his new "peds" (wonder if there is a more manly phrase?) - and what does his new boss ask "Do you have on socks? Because I don't care what you wear on your feet when you're at the beach but when in 'Rome' wear socks." Andy said he did point that he was wearing socks...but I think this is funny b/c he dislikes tall socks...and we've been searching for the peds for men for over 1 year...oh well I tried to make sure he look good.

Not much new on the adoption front. I need to email our social worker.

Wow- peds for men, huh? Andy makes me laugh. Hope his boss didn't care how short his socks were as long as he was wearing them:)

Oh, and ENJOY your class- can't wait to have you over for a fungi talk! I thought we could even make some foods with fungi in them for the kiddos to eat!
