I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend - hopefully you all did something to stay cool (pool, beach, shopping on tax-free weekend, ate ice cream, etc...).
I did call our social worker Friday afternoon and had to leave her a voicemail. She emailed me back yesterday stating that another family had been chosen for the 2 yr old little girl. Yes, I am slightly disappointed but kinda figured it would not be us. I usually do expect the worst at times and I expected that we would not be chosen.
We will move on from here. God knows who our child is (or children b/c we've been discussing recently the possibility of adopting a second child at some point) and I trust that He will deliver him or her to us in His own time.
We are down to 4 referrals now: 2 little girls & 2 little boys.
Also, I will update the menu for the week. The last 2 weeks we've been busy with friends in from out of town, Carol's birthday and cat-sitting for my mom...hard to keep up with a menu.

Does the social worker ever tell you why you weren't chosen? I'd be wanting to know what was better about the other family even though it just might mean that you weren't as good a fit for the child. I'm still praying with ya and God will give you the right child for your family!
I would TOTALLY love for you to come teach about fungi this fall! I can set up a session here at my house with another homeschool family we do stuff with if you are ok with that! I'm also looking up jumpbunch right now!
oh, megan. i finally checked your blog today b/c i realized i hadn't heard the news. i'm sorry. the right child for you and andy will come. i firmly believe that. hang in there.
