Long title for a "short" list. Here are 7 things I am looking forward to doing or seeing before the end of the year. What are you looking forward to in the next 6-7 weeks?
1) Thanksgiving at the beach. Yummy food, family & friends. It doesn't matter what the weather is like, the beach is so relaxing in the late fall & winter.
2) The WRAL tower lighting. Andy & I went the first holiday season we moved back to Raleigh (Dec. 2004). Even though we promised to make this an annual tradition for our "family", for some reason (mainly work or weather) we have not made it back. But not this year...we will be there. Dinner at Baja Burrito & then walk over to WRAL for the festivities. Ya'll are all invited to join us!
3) The Christmas Parade, Saturday Nov 22. This year we're gonna go. I have not been to a Christmas Parade since the last one I was a part of in high school. If you are watching on WRAL, look for us in the crowd.
4) Decorating our home for Christmas. I love it!! I love all my decorations. I love rearranging my house for 5 or 6 weeks and the cheerfulness of it all. Stanley & Puck love to sleep under the tree. Please come over & see us during the holiday season.
5) Baking Christmas goodies!!!!!!! This year I have the time to make all the goodies that I want. And, there will be sharing...so come on over.
6) Bowl season...all the football a gal (or guy) could ever want...and then some!!! Seriously, I do love the bowl games. I do agree that there are way too many bowl games - I remember when there seemed to be only about a dozen bowl games. Now it seems like they want to let everyone in - another form of political correctness (a term that is far over-used and a great problem in our society today - but I digress). Yes, my beloved Wolfpack are once again not playing in a bowl game. However, I still get the chance to watch some pretty good football.
7) Spending New Year's Eve with good friends.
