Lamb & Lion Moments

March has been an up-and-down month...it has had both lamb & lion moments.

Lamb Moments: being approved to adopt a child; Andy's 31st birthday; Alyssa's 1st birthday; spending Easter Sunday with all of the Wood's; Chris & Kathryn having a little one to love; Alex visiting us on his spring break; dinner with our small group; and, the blessed rain we have received this month.

Lion Moments: waiting to be approved to adopt a child; my job; Amy's colonoscopy (she's ok - it just wan't the most pleasant thing to do); and, Jon being deployed to Iraq.

Another awesome moment was last night - we saw Casting Crowns in concert at the RBC Center. They were awesome!!!!! Their lead singer, Mark Hall has an awesome voice. I never thought I would go to a Christian rock concert...I am in the process of deleting "never" from my vocabulary. The whole evening was an awesome experience for me: the music, the message & the sense of community really brought things into focus for me. My needs will be met, just as the needs of birds, plants & animals are met. The experience was wonderful for both Andy & myself.

We are also learning patience with the entire adoption process. We are just waiting for referrals from our social worker. Keep us all in your prayers. Love, Andy & Meg

Praying for you as you continue your adoption adventure! Are you adopting locally or overseas? If locally, you DO know that you can research online and then request your agent to do a referral for you. Not many people know this and sometimes it can speed the process but keep in mind that there may be reasons that child was not referred to you since he/she may have issues that you have requested NOT to deal with. This info is usually undisclosed online. Best wishes!

I completely understand your lion and lamb moments. This process has been like a roller coaster for us as well. It's so hard to just wait and wait. Everything is done . . . we just wait. I am jealous that you got to go to the CC concert. We had tickets offered, but had to decline them due to time issues. BUMMER, I love Casting Crowns - never say never!~~~Kristi

Waiting is the hardest part but God will teach you many things through it! We too are "waiting" for a referral through CHS.. found your blog through 4kids&luvit.
