Wow! I was thinking about this on the drive to work this morning, and had to check it out here on the blog to see if it is indeed true...
Today is my last day at Duke, Friday May 27, 2011...when I left Duke 3 years ago my last day was Friday June 27, 2008. One month is all that separates those 2 events...not a coincidence but a Godwink ;) (Godwink is a book...can't remember the authors name, other than it is something odd...but Google it for yourself...think I need to see if the library has it so I can take it to the beach).
I think I am a professional job changer. But then again, I am not afraid to take a chance & make a change. Though I could argue that the first time I worked at Duke, I was there for 3 years and 10 months. Pretty good longevity for me.
Why I am leaving this time? Same reason as the first time...see the post from 2008.
Where am I going? Well unlike 3 years ago, I have a job, and am going back to work at Kelly Eye Center. Happy to have the opportunity to return to work with some fabulous women :)
So hard to believe it is Memorial Day weekend. Boy Wonder starts kindergarten in August...I hope the summer crawls by so I can enjoy his sweetness before he turns into a little bookworm/scholar when he starts school. He has such a great interest in the outside world...maybe he will be a paleontologist or zoologist or botanist or meteorologist (I do call him "Greg Fishel" sometimes because recently he's very quick to tell Andy & I what the weather forecast will be when he hears it on the radio in his room).
I am looking forward to some great weekend trips this summer, and making some great memories. Getting to go to the beach very soon...and Boy Wonder's first stay in Mo's Airstream (or the baked potato as we like to call it). He's gonna love it! And my life has come full circle because I used to stay in the Airstream at the beach with Mo & Poppy (and yes the Airstream is almost as old as me - I remember the trip to Kernersville quite well to pick it up).
Have a great weekend, y'all
