A year ago, Andy & I were on a week-long vacation at Emerald Isle. It was during that vacation that I made/reached the decision to leave Duke. I can not believe that at the end of this month it will be 1 year since I last worked at Duke. There are times that it feels like I just left yesterday. The last year has seen a lot of changes in my life, the biggest is becoming a mommy.

I am happy to announce that I have given up both of my part-time jobs to join LaDue Family Chiropractic & Wellness Center. I started yesterday & enjoyed it. I have a lot to learn but am excited in this new journey that I have embarked upon. I will be working the front desk & serving as Dr Ken's assistant until we are able to hire someone to strictly perform front desk duties so I can fully work as Dr Ken's right arm. I will be working 3 long days (about 9 hrs with a 2 hr mid-day break), 1 short day (5 hrs) and will be off every Friday.

We have signed, notarized and mailed all the paperwork to the attorney to submit the official petition to the clerk in Alamance County for the adoption. I pray that all will be finalized by the end of June.
